A summary of the steps and investment in relation to the sale of business, as follows:
1. Preliminary Consultation
The preliminary consultation covers a review of your business, contractual expectations and establishes our working relationship.
We establish your expectations for the sale of business, on agreement we proceed to an agency agreement for sale of business based on the agreed marketing price.
2. Tax invoice
We charge a listing and appraisal fee to undertake site inspection, business due-diligence, confirm market appraisal for the function of contemplated sale, agreed marketing price and prepare documentation for sale of business.
3. Agency Agreement
An exclusive Agency Agreement (six months) is entered into.
Our success fee (commission) for the sale is based on the business and structure, we cover this during our meeting with you.
4. Pre Sale Due Diligence & Appraisal of Business
We examine your business and documentation and provide feedback based on our analysis and confirm that the business will be marketed at the agreed selling price or provide advice should there be challenges preventing us from proceeding on that basis.
For this step, we require documentation; details will be provided when required.
5. Secure ‘Virtual Data Room’ for Due-Diligence
We provide complimentary use of our secure virtual data room for all information and documents provided to prospective purchasers accessible for due-diligence, after the completion of a confidentiality agreement.

Marketing Budget is at cost, tailored to your requirements:
Marketing is not paid up front, if you provide a credit card direct debit authority we debit as charges are incurred and provide a monthly tax invoice and statement for debited funds. In the event the business is sold during the marketing program, we do not charge for marketing unused. Cash funds held in trust are also available, if preferred.
7. Offer, Negotiation & Acceptance
We require all due diligence to be completed prior to an offer in writing being considered for negotiation.
During the sales process, we contact our clients and buyers not less than bi-weekly to ensure sound communication and status updates.
8. Contract to Settlement
Once the offer has been accepted and deposit receipted in our trust account, documentation is forwarded to your lawyer for preparation of the contract. We liaise with all interested parties to ensure a smooth transition to settlement.
